Currently serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University School of Medicine, Dr. Cohen has dedicated over three decades to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Prior to his role at Columbia, he held similar positions at NYU School of Medicine and Bellview.
Dr. Cohen’s professional contributions extend beyond academia. He has served as a dermatology staff member at the Cleveland Clinic and as Chief of Dermatology at Nyack Hospital. Additionally, he has authored numerous Dermatologic Scientific publications and has been recognized with awards such as The American Academy of Dermatology’s “Bronze Award” for Original Investigative Research and the “Gold Level Award” for Community Service.
Recognized as one of America’s Top Dermatologists by various publications including Castle Connelly and Hudson Valley Magazine, Dr. Cohen specializes in General, Pediatric, and Cosmetic Dermatology. His expertise includes procedures such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, fillers, and laser surgery.
Dr. Cohen’s commitment to community health is evident through his role as an honorary police surgeon for The Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. He is also actively involved in promoting sun safety as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology’s “Playsun Smart Program” and serves as a dermatologist for the New York Yankees and the New York Mets.
In addition to his professional affiliations, Dr. Cohen is a member of various prestigious organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Chicago Medical School Alumni Association.
