Dr. Ana C. Krieger Has Been Named a 2025 NY Top Doc

Dr. Ana C. Krieger has been reviewed and approved by NY Top Docs based on merit for 2025. She currently serves as Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Departments of Medicine, Neurology, and Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, where she also leads as Chief of the Sleep Neurology Division in the Department of Neurology. In addition, Dr. Krieger is the Medical Director of the Center for Sleep Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and a board-certified specialist in Sleep Medicine by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Krieger holds multiple board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine, reflecting her broad expertise and commitment to clinical excellence. She is an Associate Attending at both NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Rockefeller University Hospital. Further strengthening her leadership in the healthcare field, she earned a Master’s Degree in Global Public Health with an emphasis in Healthcare Policy and Management, which underscores her dedication to advancing both patient care and systemic health improvement.

Throughout her career, Dr. Krieger has been deeply involved in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care in sleep medicine. Under her direction, the Center for Sleep Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine has become one of the leading facilities in the region. Her clinical expertise is complemented by an active role in medical education and research, where she serves as a mentor and principal investigator on numerous collaborative, multidisciplinary studies in sleep medicine. Her research has been widely published and is currently supported by major grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).

In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Krieger is a national leader in sleep and cardiopulmonary research. She chairs the Mentored to Independence (MTI) K99/R00 grant review committee at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) of the NIH, where she supports early-career scientists on their path to research independence. A respected speaker and media contributor, Dr. Krieger is recognized for raising public awareness about the importance of sleep health. Her accomplishments have earned her distinction as a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar and Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
