Since joining Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group in 1997, he has been dedicated to treating both adult and pediatric spinal disorders across the practice’s offices.
Dr. Peretz earned his degree in chemistry from Princeton University before pursuing his medical degree at the prestigious Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, followed by a specialized fellowship in spinal surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
A respected leader in his field, Dr. Peretz is an active member of the North American Spine Society, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also involved with the Medical Society of New York State, the Medical Society of Westchester County, and the American Medical Association. His contributions to spinal research include co-authoring numerous publications.
Dr. Peretz holds leadership roles at Putnam Hospital Center, where he serves as Director of the Spinal Institute, and at Northern Westchester Hospital. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
