Dr. Fanaee is skilled in a wide range of advanced procedures, including spinal and joint injections, kyphoplasty, spinal cord stimulation, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, and radiofrequency neurolysis. He is also certified by the New York State Medical Marijuana Program, offering alternative therapies where appropriate. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Fanaee is deeply involved in education and research. He has co-authored a textbook chapter for surgeons specializing in pain management, directed educational courses for residents, fellows, and primary care providers, and served as co-executive medical writer for NYU’s mandatory pain medicine training program for all new physicians.
Dr. Fanaee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, a lifetime member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), and an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
