After a general surgery internship at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn in 1996, he remained there to complete his specialty training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency in 2000.
Board-certified in otolaryngology head and neck surgery, Dr. Patel actively contributes to the otolaryngology department at New York University Langone Medical Center. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Medical Board at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, having previously held the roles of Surgeon Director and Secretary on the Medical Board.
Dr. Patel has authored publications in otolaryngology journals and textbooks and has presented at various otolaryngology meetings, showcasing his expertise in the field.
