Yael Halaas, MD, FACS, is a highly regarded facial plastic surgeon known for her expertise, artistry, and personalized approach to care. Serving a diverse patient community in Westchester and beyond, she brings a unique perspective shaped by her Cuban and Argentine heritage and a deep appreciation for working with patients from all backgrounds.

Fluent in English and Spanish with conversational proficiency in Hebrew, Dr. Halaas is committed to creating a welcoming experience for every patient. Her expertise and insight have been featured in leading media outlets, including Vogue, The New York Times, Telemundo, and Good Morning America, where she has shared her knowledge with audiences in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Halaas’s extensive education and training have shaped her into a skilled facial plastic surgeon with a distinctive eye for aesthetics. She began her academic journey at Columbia University, earning her undergraduate degree in Art History, an experience that continues to influence her thoughtful and artistic approach to facial surgery.

She earned her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, graduating in the top 10% of her class and earning membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She was also recognized by the American Medical Women’s Association for ranking among the top 5% of her graduating class.

Dr. Halaas completed her general surgery internship and otolaryngology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she now serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology. She further advanced her training through a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, developing specialized expertise in sophisticated facial procedures.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Halaas remains actively involved in education. She teaches residents at Einstein and lectures fellow physicians on advances in injectable fillers, rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, and other areas of facial plastic surgery. Her dedication to teaching and continued learning allows her to stay at the forefront of an evolving specialty while bringing the latest techniques and knowledge to her patients.
