Dr. Fanaee earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine before completing his anesthesiology residency at the University of Chicago and a pain medicine fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center. He is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine. Deeply committed to education, he has co-authored a textbook chapter for surgeons specializing in pain management, directed formal training courses for residents, fellows, and primary care physicians, and served as co-executive medical writer for NYU’s now-mandatory pain medicine curriculum.
