Dr. Elaine F. Kung is a board-certified dermatologist, founder, educator, and innovator with a global journey that began in Hong Kong and brought her to New York City at the age of six. A standout student, she graduated at the top of her class from the prestigious Stuyvesant High School and went on to earn her biology degree magna cum laude from Yale College. She stayed at Yale for medical school, where she first discovered her passion for dermatology.
Her commitment to both science and patient care deepened during her dermatology residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. There, she earned national and international recognition for her tissue engineering research, receiving honors from the Society of Investigative Dermatology (SID), the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the World Congress of Dermatology.
In 2010, Dr. Kung founded Future Bright Dermatology in Lower Manhattan, with a mission to provide exceptional care to a diverse, multicultural community. Her clinical work spans medical dermatology and advanced aesthetic treatments, including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, lasers, energy-based devices, Alma TED hair restoration, and thread lifts.
For over a decade, she has served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at NYP-Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she mentors the next generation of dermatologists. A lifelong learner, Dr. Kung earned a Master’s in Management from Harvard University during the pandemic and is currently expanding her expertise in cosmetic science.

As I am new to Dr. King’s practice, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was delighted to find a very clean, modern, and well run office. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable while also being very personable ,and the doctors care was extremely professional and thorough. All in all it was a very an excellent experience and I would recommend the office to anyone.
