Azeem Khan, MD, is a skilled Interventional Gastroenterologist with over 25 years of experience in private practice. He earned his medical degree from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay in India, before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Dr. Khan also served as Chief Resident at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. His fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology was completed at New York Medical College.

Board-certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Khan has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and the American College of Physicians (FACP). He is an active member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Khan serves as an attending physician at New York Hospital of Queens and North Shore LIJ Health Systems, and holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Khan has advanced expertise in a variety of endoscopic techniques for the staging and diagnosis of GI cancers such as those of the pancreas, esophagus, and stomach. He is also passionate about treating conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, Celiac disease, hepatitis B, and cancer staging using Endoscopic Ultrasonography.
