Dr. Lucky Sekhon

About Lucky Sekhon, M.D.

Dr. Lucky Sekhon is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist and board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist at RMA of New York. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Sekhon specializes in infertility care, with particular expertise in fertility preservation, LGBTQ+ family building, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). She also performs minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, to treat conditions such as endometriosis and uterine factor infertility.

Passionate about advancing reproductive medicine, Dr. Sekhon has authored numerous peer-reviewed studies and regularly presents her research at national and international conferences. She is also a dedicated advocate for reproductive health and access to care, having founded Doctors for Fertility, a nonprofit focused on protecting access to comprehensive reproductive care. Through her Instagram platform and contributions to media outlets including CNN, NBC, Forbes, Allure, and Healthline, she works to educate patients and dispel common myths surrounding fertility and IVF.

Having personally undergone fertility preservation and treatment, Dr. Sekhon brings a unique perspective to her patients’ fertility journeys. She understands the physical and emotional challenges firsthand and is committed to providing care that is informed, compassionate, and empowering.

I began this journey feeling intimidated, but I’m finishing it feeling empowered. Dr. Sekhon and her team have built a remarkably welcoming and knowledgeable environment. The all-female staff is incredibly kind and patient; they met my anxiety over blood draws and my long lists of questions with genuine empathy. Though the process is challenging, I felt completely supported throughout. I can’t recommend this practice and their wonderful staff enough.

I found Dr. Sekhon to be an incredibly compassionate physician who was attentive to our feelings and the sensitivity of the fertility treatment process. One thing I would like to highlight is that since going off the birth control pill, I was not only struggling with infertility, but unexplained weight gain and hormonal acne that I had never experienced before. I was essentially dismissed by my OBGYN and GP however within 10 minutes of meeting with Dr. Sekhon at our consultation, she presented me with potential reasons as to why this was happening and brought me to an exam room for an ultrasound to confirm if her hunch was correct. It was the first time I had felt heard/seen in months and I am eternally grateful for that.
