Ellen Marmur, MD is a nationally recognized board-certified dermatologist, dermatologic surgeon, and aesthetic expert with more than two decades of experience advancing the fields of skin health, skin cancer treatment, and cosmetic dermatology. Known for her thoughtful, holistic approach to care, Dr. Marmur specializes in skin cancer diagnosis and surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive dermatologic surgery, women’s health dermatology, and advanced cosmetic procedures.

A leader in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Marmur is highly sought after for her expertise in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, laser treatments, body contouring, liposuction, and other cutting-edge rejuvenation techniques. She is especially known for her philosophy of Preservation Aging®, an approach focused on supporting the body’s natural healing and regenerative processes through carefully selected, evidence-based treatments designed to maintain healthy, vibrant skin over time.

Before founding Marmur Medical, Dr. Marmur served for eight years as Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and spent nearly a decade as the institution’s first Vice Chair of Surgical & Cosmetic Dermatology. She currently serves as a Full Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where her pioneering research has helped shape innovations in skin aging, cosmetic techniques, and regenerative dermatology.

Dr. Marmur has played a leading role in clinical research throughout her career, serving as principal and co-investigator on more than 100 research protocols and FDA clinical trials. Her work has contributed to advancements in injectable fillers, translational skin-aging science, and genomic research on sun exposure and aging. At Mount Sinai, she established the institution’s first Skin Cancer & Anti-Aging Biobank and fostered groundbreaking collaboration between dermatology and genetics research.
