Dr. Issa is an orthopedic spine surgeon who brings a wealth of expertise and a patient-centered approach to advanced spinal care. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal medicine and surgical principles. He went on to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey—a program known for its high surgical volume and rigorous clinical training.

To further refine his skills, Dr. Issa pursued a  fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at the renowned Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky. There, he trained alongside leaders in the field, gaining specialized experience in complex spinal procedures and cutting-edge surgical techniques.

Dr. Issa’s clinical interests span a wide spectrum of spinal conditions and treatment modalities. He has a particular focus on Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Computer-Assisted Navigation, which allow for greater precision and faster recovery times. He is also experienced in the surgical treatment of scoliosis and spinal deformities, revision and corrective spine surgery, and both anterior and posterior approaches to cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine reconstruction.
